Saint Louis Crystal made very few paperweight style bottles, perhaps less than half a dozen patterns. For the collector of paperweight bottles this is truly a rare opportunity as few Saint bottles make it to market. This design that this bottle is based on is rarely seen as a paperweight, not in bottle form. There are three or four different colors known to be used for the flower and it is believed that the design was received for the French market or it was a special order for a high-end retailer. The form of the bottle is elegant, executed in an opaque white "milk glass". The stopper contains a chartreuse colored flower with eight striated petals and a central stardust cane embedded at the surface. The outer circumference of the stopper and bottle is accentuated with a thin gold leaf line running around the outside. As would be expected from Saint Louis, it is an elegant and sophisticated design.
